The Easiest, Tastiest Home Made Salad Dressing
I dabbled with a short Keto Diet stint last week in an attempt to get to know what the diet was really about and to also get healthier. The diet itself was actually alright and even though I won’t be doing it long term, it did get me rethinking certain food choices.
I ate a lot more greens and that’s a habit I’ve managed to hold onto. My favourite way to eat veggies has always been raw but they can be a little bland by themselves. I don’t use store bought dressings because I find they have way too much added sugar among other things so I always opt to make my own dressing. It’s super easy and you don’t need any kind of special equipment to do it.
You will need:
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon of wholegrain mustard
1/2 teaspoon of honey
Salt and freshly crushed black pepper to taste
- Put all your ingredients in a small bowl
- Whisk with a fork
- Drizzle on your salad just before you serve
** I usually add the salt and pepper to the salad directly but you can also mix it in to your dressing if you want to.
This is a great sweet and tangy dressing perfect for garden salads (especially with some feta cheese thrown in there!)
