Can Moms Be Sexy?
When you give birth (however you give birth), you inevitably change. Everything from how you feel on the inside, to having you heart outside your body in the form of a ball of mush and serious physical changes. The emotions are a roller coaster but sometimes, after a few weeks of your hormones settling in, you begin to feel like yourself again. Except, you don’t look the same. Things just suddenly seem out of place or strange on you. The morning after I had my baby through an emergency c-section, I feel the distinct ‘lacking’ of something I had carefully cooked for 9 months. This was to be expected. What I wasn’t ready for was my new body. My stomach disappeared into itself and I had this little pouch where they stitched me up. On the second day, my breasts were super full with milk yet somehow they seemed lower than before. I had my battle scars in form of long winding stretch marks. I was part of the tribe they call ‘Moms’.
For the first few months, I could be bothered with my new body. I was too busy trying to keep my child alive! But when I did start to dress up and leave the house, I felt how different my body was. Everything had changed and I didn’t feel beautiful anymore. What’s funny is that to my husband, I had changed yes, but there was something stronger about this new body. Something more…sensual. You don’t really feel it until someone shows you what you don’t see in yourself. That’s why I’m so excited about Mr. O’s Boudoir. A package created exclusively for women like you and me. Women who don’t see what we feel like or feel like what we don’t see. He comes into your home, talks with you about you a mini therapy session and then tops it all off with a photo shoot like no other. Let’s face it – some of us need to reclaim our sexy and this is the best way to do it.
Find him on Instagram and let him show you what the mirror doesn’t. And in case you’re still wondering – yes. Moms can be everything and most definitely sexy.
