Guilty Pleasures For June

Yaaas! I wanna share this:

The other day I tweeted about a ridiculous show that I had gotten sucked into and I had no clue how it had happened. I didn’t put it in the title of the show so it was interesting to see people guessing what show they thought it was. I got everything from the new season of Prison Break to Bad Girls Club (which I might give the once over one of these days honestly.) I will finally tell you what show it is along with a bunch of other bad but good things that I’m indulging in this month.
The TV Show

Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce. I stumbled on this show by mistake and here I am, two seasons later watching episode after episode of this predictable mess! It’s such an easy show to follow, the fashion is to die for and you’ll start to wonder if this is what divorce in LA looks like. It’s a fun and easy show that you and the girls (or just you) and a good old bottle of wine can pass the weekend with. A lot of white women with white women problems.

The Sorta Healthy Snack

Rice cakes and crunchy peanut butter. My boss at work introduced me to this delicious combo and I haven’t looked back since. It’s kinda healthy because rice cakes are essentially just air and peanut butter has good fats. Of course, the benefits probably max out at about 3 of these bad boys. The problem? You won’t be able to stop eating them! Try though. Don’t follow my example and scoff down half the packet.

The YouTube Channel

This one is both a guilty pleasure and an inspirational source. I stumbled upon Evelyn from the Internets doing my usual black hole rounds on Youtube (That’s when you just keep clicking next on videos till you end up watching the true origins of cats). Evelyn is not for everyone I will tell you that but I find her absolutely hilarious. She’s actually the one that inspired me to do #30Posts30Days. She does this thing called VEDA (Vlog Every Day in August/April) which I just found inspiring. She worked so consistently that one of her videos was featured on Beyonce’s Formation tour. How cool? She talked about purpose and working with one in this video which is one of my favourites. Watch it and then get lost in her sillyness. Oh! And she’s Kenyan! Even though she grew up there. Still, she’s funny as hell.

What are you indulging in this month? I want to know so I can continue accumulating bad habits! Drop me a line below.
